Senior Project Manager - Retail (Tenancy Coordination)

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of retail tenancy projects, from design and approvals through to construction and trading
• Manage multiple concurrent projects including new tenancies, refurbishments, relocations, and redevelopment works
• Act as the primary interface between landlords, tenants, and delivery partners to balance competing priorities
• Manage tenancy design submissions to ensure alignment with centre guidelines, statutory requirements, and brand standards
• Oversee project budgets, capital expenditure, and tenancy-related cost recovery
• Coordinate base build and tenancy works to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to live trading environments
• Monitor contractor performance, site progress, and adherence to WHS requirements and building codes
• Drive continuous improvement in tenancy delivery processes and speed to trade

Requirements

• 5+ years of extensive experience in retail tenancy coordination, project management, or construction delivery
• Proven experience working with both landlords (shopping centres/developers) and retailers
• Strong understanding of retail leasing, tenancy delivery lifecycles, and shopping centre operations
• Degree in Construction Management, Property, Architecture, or a related field
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and lead teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with major retail landlords or national/international retail brands
• Experience delivering complex projects within live, high-traffic trading environments
