Senior Project Manager, Pre-Construction

Responsibilities

• Direct the entire pre-construction lifecycle from conceptual design to onsite construction commencement
• Develop comprehensive project schedules, multi-million dollar budgets, and detailed risk assessments
• Lead collaboration between architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to optimize designs
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies to validate infrastructure readiness
• Manage complex bid packages, competitive bidding processes, and contractor proposal analysis
• Negotiate high-value contracts and manage long-term vendor relationships
• Navigate the permitting process and ensure compliance with building codes and environmental standards
• Partner with onsite construction teams to ensure seamless knowledge and documentation handoff

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of dedicated pre-construction management experience in large-scale, complex projects
• Deep technical understanding of construction processes, materials, and mission-critical build lifecycles
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple high-priority workstreams
• Strong negotiation and communication skills for interacting with C-suite executives and local officials
• Expert-level command of construction management software and scheduling tools like P6 or MS Project
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of large scale development experience in data centers, oil & gas, or hospital industries
• 10+ years of experience specifically within the hyperscale data center or high-tech infrastructure market
• PMP, LEED AP, or equivalent professional construction certification
• Experience utilizing BIM (Building Information Modeling) for clash detection
• Background in sustainable construction practices or renewable energy integration
