Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary company representative with clients and subcontractors during project execution
• Lead external and internal meetings and discussions to ensure project alignment
• Work with discipline leads and project engineers to develop, negotiate, and monitor scope, schedules, and budgets for DOT projects
• Mobilize company resources and coordinate with support departments to create effective project teams
• Oversee and review technical project deliverables to ensure compliance with all applicable technical standards
• Manage the establishment of Project Execution Plans, PMIS, Health and Safety Plans, and QA/QC Plans
• Manage interdisciplinary teams of professionals and assign tasks based on project requirements and team strengths
• Mentor junior staff to enhance a high-performance culture
• Monitor and report project progress, significant milestones, and any conditions affecting cost or schedule to management

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field
• 15+ years of related engineering management experience in the transportation industry
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required
• Proven ability to perform in a management capacity with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage projects and interface directly with clients while remaining technically hands-on

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) project delivery
• Engineering management experience specifically within the state of Georgia
