Senior Project Manager - Localization

Responsibilities

• Review incoming strings to confirm scope and verify i18n readiness, including ICU patterns and proper externalization.
• Collect necessary context such as screenshots and user flows to support translation teams.
• Monitor translation job progress and escalate blockers involving linguists or product teams.
• Manage vendor relationships through regular syncs and quality tracking.
• Triage localization and i18n support tickets (JACs) and assign them to correct components.
• Create and maintain documentation for workflows and product-specific guidance.
• Identify and propose workflow changes, automation opportunities, and tooling improvements.

Requirements

• Experience managing localization or translation programs within a software or product environment.
• Familiarity with Confluence and Jira.
• Knowledge of i18n standards, including ICU message format and string externalization.
• Experience using localization tooling such as Smartling.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across engineering, product, and vendor teams.
• Ability to manage linguist or vendor queries across different time zones.
