Responsibilities

• Ensure the site is run in a safe and efficient manner
• Maximise the commercial performance of the contract
• Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department
• Forecast costs, manage scope, and manage unplanned construction work resources
• Report risks and opportunities to the senior management team
• Deliver work to specified quality without defects
• Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITP’s and waste management plans
• Maintain detailed site diaries and records
• Maintain commercial tension to drive out cost

Requirements

• Broad civil engineering background (heavy civils and concrete structures)
• Proficient in NEC4 contracts
• Experience in Design Management Programme & Risk Management
• Experience in production of CVR, cost control, forecasting and value assessment
• Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• SMSTS certification
• Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems
• Ability to manage and deliver projects with minimal guidance
