Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead succinct work packages and interface with stakeholders to realize schedule and Capex budget for large-scale electricity transmission reinforcement projects.
• Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and adherence to budget, quality, and timelines.
• Own project governance, including contract management, financial forecasting, and risk mitigation throughout the full lifecycle.
• Drive performance and efficiency through innovation, value engineering, and best practices to outperform price control targets.
• Manage project programmes, ensuring accurate scheduling and resource planning across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Manage internal teams and external contractors to ensure delivery of key project outputs in line with business targets.
• Champion stakeholder engagement with internal departments and external entities such as local authorities, regulators, and communities.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Proven leadership in the development stage of projects (design and consenting), preferably within electrical infrastructure or transmission.
• Expertise in contract administration using NEC (3/4), JCT, or FIDIC frameworks.
• Experience with infrastructure planning and consenting requirements, specifically Section 37 and EIA.
• Deep understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation, including CDM regulations.
• Strong financial acumen regarding forecasting, cost control, and capital efficiency.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams without direct line authority.
• Valid driving license for travel across various locations.
