Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of project planning and execution, ensuring success across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
• Maintain single point accountability for a portfolio of complex utility projects with moderate to high risk levels.
• Oversee funding management and project budgeting.
• Provide leadership, decision-making, and coordination for project teams, which may include direct reports such as Project Managers and Project Controls.
• Act as a unifying agent between various stakeholders, including senior management, external agencies, and department personnel.
• Ensure all projects comply with established company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 4-year degree and 7+ years of prior work-related experience, or 11+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proven expertise in project management and risk management.
• Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification (recommended within 24 months of placement).
• Advanced degree such as an MBA or a Master's in Project Management.
• Experience in the utility industry (Regulated or Commercial energy services).
• Expertise in project scheduling, cost controls, and quality management.
• Knowledge of construction management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Contractors License.
• Relevant technical certifications such as CMII or AACE.
