Senior Project Manager, Design and Construction Capital Projects

Responsibilities

• Manage the development, design, construction, and activation of strategic capital healthcare projects with budgets ranging from $100,000 to $10 million
• Provide project management services by controlling cost, scope, schedule, resources, and risk
• Direct and manage external resources including contracted designers, builders, and professional service providers
• Oversee the project design process, including reviewing documents for constructability and adherence to regulatory guidelines
• Provide on-site supervision of construction phases and chair owner-architect-contractor progress meetings
• Manage project controls, including monitoring invoices, updating schedules, and documenting project issues or changes
• Develop commissioning and turnover plans, including managing punch lists and ensuring certificates of occupancy

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management (or equivalent experience)
• 7-10 years of experience in the construction or design industry with significant project management experience
• Proven experience managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk in a capital project setting
• Experience managing architects, engineers, and professional service firms
• Ability to analyze construction costs and schedules and provide data-driven troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing projects within a healthcare environment, including knowledge of Infection Control protocols
• Experience with various design and construction methods such as design-build, design-bid-build, or cost-plus
• Previous experience in healthcare operations
