Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage complex capital commitment projects from inception to construction completion and close-out
• Review proposed projects to determine scope, vision, and execution methods
• Generate cost estimates and develop project schedules to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery
• Supervise, coordinate, and direct design, construction management, and construction staff
• Resolve construction or design issues and negotiate with contractors and vendors
• Process and review change orders and project estimates
• Ensure adherence to all safety precautions and oversee contractor performance
• Supervise and direct Project Managers and Junior Project Managers

Requirements

• Permanent status in Associate Project Manager title or on DDC Promotional/Open-Competitive lists
• One year of experience supervising employees in project management for engineering, architectural, or landscape architectural projects
• Experience supervising construction projects valued at $1,000,000 or more
• Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, urban planning, or related field plus one year of project management experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling five years
• Additional experience in a supervisory capacity or managing large/complex construction projects as required by assignment level
