Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage complex capital commitment projects from inception to construction completion and close-out
• Work with Sponsor Agencies to ensure understanding of project scope and vision
• Generate cost estimates and develop deliverable schedules for timely, cost-effective completion
• Supervise, coordinate, and direct project design, construction management, and construction staff
• Resolve construction or design issues and negotiate with contractors and vendors
• Process and review change orders and project estimates
• Ensure adherence to all safety precautions and oversee contractor performance
• Supervise and direct Project Managers and Junior Project Managers

Requirements

• Permanent status in the Associate Project Manager title or reachable on DDC Promotional Exam #3573 or Open Competitive Exam #3110
• One year of experience supervising employees in project management for engineering, architectural, or landscape architectural projects
• Experience supervising construction projects valued at $1,000,000 or more
• Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, urban planning, or related field plus required experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Additional experience in a supervisory capacity or managing large/complex construction projects as specified in the qualifications
