Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage complex capital commitment projects from inception to construction completion and close-out
• Review proposed projects to determine execution methods and timelines
• Work with Sponsor Agencies to ensure alignment with project scope and vision
• Generate cost estimates and develop deliverable schedules
• Supervise, coordinate, and direct design, construction management, and construction staff
• Resolve construction or design issues and negotiate with contractors and vendors
• Process and review change orders and project estimates
• Ensure adherence to all safety precautions and project schedules
• Oversee contractor performance and supervise Project Managers and Junior Project Managers

Requirements

• One year of full-time experience supervising employees in project management for engineering, architectural, or landscape architectural projects
• Or experience supervising a construction project valued at $1,000,000 or more
• Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, urban planning, or a related field plus one year of project management experience
• Or a high school diploma and five years of relevant experience
• Must meet specific Civil Service criteria (permanent in Associate Project Manager title or on specific promotional/open-competitive lists)
• Authorization to work in the United States is required
