Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage complex capital commitment projects from conception through design development to construction completion and close-out
• Review proposed projects to determine execution methods and timelines
• Work with Sponsor Agencies to ensure understanding of project scope
• Supervise, coordinate, and direct construction management and staff
• Develop deliverable dates and adhere to project schedules
• Appraise the Project Executive of issues regarding scheduling, cost, and construction
• Liaise among Program Management Consultants, Design-Builders, and regulatory agencies
• Maintain comprehensive project history files and review change orders and reports

Requirements

• At least six years of full-time experience in construction management on capital projects (minimum $15,000 value per project)
• At least eighteen months of experience in a managerial or consultative capacity
• Combination of education and experience totaling ten years (including construction inspection, skilled trades, or relevant engineering/architecture degrees)
• Valid New York State Motor Vehicle Driver License
• Must meet specific Civil Service criteria (permanent in Administrative Construction Project Manager title or on specific promotional/open-competitive lists)
