Senior Project Estimator

Responsibilities

• Review and validate full project budgets across multiple disciplines including civil, structural, MEP, and telecom.
• Prepare independent estimates at SD, DD, and 100% CD stages.
• Reconcile independent estimates against GC/CM estimates to identify scope, pricing, and risk variances.
• Review GMP and lump-sum proposals, including assumptions, exclusions, and markups.
• Evaluate bid packages, subcontractor pricing, and vendor quotes for cost reasonableness.
• Support value engineering efforts and track impacts against budget and project objectives.
• Transition into construction-phase cost management, including pay application review, change order evaluation, and contingency tracking.
• Prepare executive-level reporting, including Basis of Estimate documentation and variance reports.

Requirements

• 12+ years of construction estimating, preconstruction, or cost management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Full-project estimating experience across multiple disciplines (not limited to a single trade).
• Experience with large-scale, complex capital projects (e.g., data centers, semiconductor, or industrial).
• Proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, and professional estimating tools (e.g., CostX, WinEst, Trimble, or Accubid).
• Strong ability to transition from preconstruction estimating into construction-phase cost management.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with greenfield data centers, hyperscale programs, or mission-critical facilities.
• Deep understanding of data center cost drivers such as electrical gear, cooling systems, and long-lead procurement.
• Familiarity with AI/HPC infrastructure, liquid cooling, and high-density rack environments.
• Professional certifications such as ASPE, AACE, PMP, or RICS.
