Senior Project Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical interface towards the customer for the Lausanne m2 metro modernization project
• Lead engineering governance for a dual-scope project involving CBTC signalling and rolling stock modernisation
• Ensure technical consistency and interface management across all subsystems, including TCMS
• Drive system integration within a complex brownfield environment under ongoing operations
• Manage requirements, configuration, and design changes throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead preliminary and detailed design phases while balancing performance, cost, and delivery constraints
• Support homologation and certification processes
• Lead, develop, and motivate the engineering project team

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering (mandatory)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in railway system engineering within international turnkey projects
• Strong expertise in both signalling (CBTC) and rolling stock
• Proven experience in complex system integration and brownfield projects
• Solid knowledge of system engineering methodologies (e.g., MBSE)
• Understanding of railway safety standards and certification processes
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluency in both English and French
