Senior Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee design development, project budget, and cost
• Verify and approve vendor payables and track vendor quantities
• Assist in reviewing monthly contractor billing estimates for the owner
• Lead regularly occurring project team meetings on behalf of the owner
• Review, analyze, and evaluate contractor updates
• Oversee cost reports and monthly billing
• Manage extra work billings and claims under Project Manager supervision
• Manage design change implementation and change management processes
• Manage the submittal and RFI process
• Ensure a safe project site and work environment

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in construction management or a related field
• Experience in mission-critical, industrial, or process-heavy facilities preferred
• Ability to prepare and communicate cost and revenue projections
• Knowledge of the permitting process and ability to drive timelines
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with peers, leaders, and clients
