Senior Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of large-scale capital and operational projects, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams, including operations, engineering, contractors, and suppliers.
• Manage project schedules and milestones while proactively identifying risks and mitigating delays.
• Oversee project budgets and financial performance, including cost tracking and invoice review.
• Perform site visits and inspections to verify construction quality, safety compliance, and engineering specifications.
• Prepare and manage technical documentation such as drawings, contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
• Provide technical leadership in equipment selection, process verification, and performance validation.
• Ensure all projects align with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of project management experience within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale capital projects with budgets of $10M or greater.
• Proficiency with project management and engineering tools, specifically Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.
• Strong financial and scheduling acumen.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Advanced degree (MS, MBA, or PhD).
