Senior Project Engineer-Innovation

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end innovation projects by guiding teams through project scoping, problem framing, discovery, ideation, and design development.
• Infuse disruptive innovation practices into the organization by creating and socializing a toolbox of new methodologies and processes.
• Define project completeness by understanding the NPD design process to anticipate needs and ensure high-quality, usable outputs.
• Provide thought leadership and mentorship to team members on innovation methods, best practices, and presentation skills.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Industrial Design, and Design Research teams to deliver meaningful solutions.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience working on a human-centered design-thinking innovation team.
• Expertise in design-thinking methods, processes, tools, and creative problem-solving.
• BS in Engineering or BA in Industrial Design.
• Proven experience designing and engineering durable good products.
• Strong mechanical and manufacturing background to ground innovative ideas.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous scenarios and make decisions based on available data.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Design Innovation.
