Senior Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to the Project Manager across project management activities and act as focal point with main contractors and client PMT.
• Identify and resolve technical issues; coordinate with engineering consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and client personnel.
• Assist in preparation, updating and implementation of Project Execution Plan (PEP).
• Attend progress review meetings, prepare Minutes of Meeting, follow up on actions and close out client concerns.
• Coordinate technical and contractual support for subcontractors and facilitate face-to-face issue resolution.
• Ensure project execution meets schedule, contractual terms and client technical procedures.
• Coordinate planning, scheduling and execution across Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning.
• Liaise with Engineering to communicate design basis, raise and track MR’s and support timely procurement for long-lead items.
• Support preparation of high-level scope for subcontracts and control scope creep.
• Lead technical, schedule, risk, commercial evaluations; ensure actions are followed through and documents updated.
• Facilitate project mobilization and resource planning; ensure team alignment to project strategy and priorities.
• Support variation claims, EOT submissions and contractual position development.
• Assist Contracts, Cost & Subcontracts teams in evaluating design deviations and variations from subcontractors.
• Support construction teams to obtain IFC drawings and resolve engineering issues impacting construction.
• Identify and remove restraints to construction progress; coordinate material deliveries with Procurement and suppliers.
• Monitor project milestones with Project Control and help identify and mitigate schedule risks.
• Provide support for commissioning activities and facilitate smooth start-up.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work with ADNOC or major UAE EPC clients
• Experience on medium to large scale E&I projects
• Prior role as Project Engineer (3+ years) on similar scopes
• Familiarity with information management and handover/close-out processes
• Coaching and team leadership experience
