Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Instrumentation & Control (I&C) engineering activities for IA/PA Upgrade brownfield projects in Abu Dhabi.
• Review FEED and EPC deliverables (P&IDs, C&E matrices, instrument index, loop diagrams, hook-ups) and finalize instrument sizing, specifications and installation details per ADNOC standards.
• Develop and validate control narratives, logic and inter-platform coordination for IA/PA compressor operation.
• Define signal mapping and communication protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet); integrate vendor UCP panels with existing systems (ABB DCS 800xA, Rockwell ESD, Emerson/GE F&G, PMS/ECMS).
• Lead discipline reviews, manage engineering subcontractor deliverables, and close TQs/RFIs and action items.
• Interface with OEMs/vendors: review datasheets, I/O lists, control logic, participate in FAT/IFAT/SAT and verify signal testing and interlocks.
• Participate in HAZOP/HAZID/SIL/PHSER workshops and implement process safety instrumented functions (SIF).
• Provide brownfield construction and commissioning support: method statements, loop checking, function tests, C&E testing, and adherence to ADNOC PTW/SIMOPS.
• Maintain instrument interface registers, system interconnection diagrams and ensure handover of as-built I&C documents and asset register updates.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to work under tight deadlines
