Senior Project Engineer - Electrical Distribution

Responsibilities

• Independently manage the execution of engineering projects by determining scope, specifications, and preliminary investigation plans.
• Establish test programs for complex products by reviewing manufacturer information and applying UL requirements.
• Communicate technical issues, project costs, and requirements to clients, acting as a primary point of contact to resolve complex issues.
• Coordinate laboratory activities, including preparing data sheets and instructions for technicians.
• Develop new UL requirements, test methods, and specialized test equipment for unique or unusual products.
• Direct and review the work of assigned staff and provide technical training to laboratory and field personnel.
• Prepare technical reports, follow-up service procedures, and project status updates for clients.

Requirements

• University Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an accredited program.
• 8 years of directly related work experience.
• Detailed knowledge of technical vocabulary within the appropriate engineering discipline.
• Working knowledge of conformity standards used in the area of expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts to complex or new products.
• Working knowledge of current industry issues, needs, and problems.

• Estimated salary range of $105,000 to $125,000 based on experience and location.
