Senior Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic engineering projects within EMEA Regional Engineering, focusing on innovative optical telecommunications technologies.
• Implement process optimization projects to drive cost reduction, improved safety, and increased efficiency.
• Develop and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and business case analysis.
• Perform project risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies to address potential threats.
• Manage data collection to demonstrate impact on key performance indicators such as savings, quality, and capacity.
• Coordinate between multiple internal departments and external vendors or subcontractors.
• Oversee project documentation and report progress to stakeholders and management.
• Coach junior engineers and support the development of the project team's competencies.

Requirements

• Higher technical degree (Electrical, Mechanical, or Management/Organization preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale, complex engineering projects in an international environment.
• Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies (Classical and Agile).
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong technical software skills, including MS Project and MS Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as PMI, PRINCE2, IPMA, AgilePM, Scrum, or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt).
• Experience in project portfolio management.
• Proven track record in implementing projects that increase production capacity or reduce costs.
