Senior Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and commercial analysis for onshore wind, solar PV, and battery storage projects to Delivery, O&M, and Investment teams.
• Lead OEM selection for wind and solar projects through rigorous technical and commercial evaluation.
• Lead technical Due Diligence for new projects, coordinating with environmental specialists, wind resource analysts, and consultants.
• Prepare RfP packages for surveys, engineering, construction, and supplies, managing the full process from draft to negotiation.
• Negotiate Heads of Terms with EPC contractors and optimize contractor offers to improve project returns.
• Support the Investment Team with CAPEX, OPEX, energy yield, and construction period inputs for financial modeling.
• Conduct wind resource assessments using industry-standard software to optimize farm layouts and energy production estimates.
• Manage engineering service providers and consultants during the project development stage.

Requirements

• BSc. Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical).
• Minimum of 10 years of project engineering experience in Wind or Solar projects.
• Proven experience in the development of wind farms exceeding 50 MW.
• Proficiency in industry software such as Microsoft Project, PVSyst, or WindPRO.
• Fluency in written and spoken English at a business level.
• Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions (e.g., FIDIC).

Preferred Qualifications

• Post Graduate degree in Renewable Energy.
• Experience with Solar PV projects.
• Background working in an engineering firm specializing in wind farm design or with a WTG manufacturer.
