Senior Project Coordinator, Laboratory Services

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for external customers including biopharma sponsors and CROs
• Coordinate study startup activities, sample logistics, and project execution strategies
• Manage customer communications regarding sample receipt, processing progress, and data delivery milestones
• Oversee sample flow and project prioritization across laboratory operations to optimize turnaround times
• Maintain accurate project tracking within LIMS, Salesforce, and JIRA
• Lead investigations related to operational deviations and sample discrepancies
• Directly manage and mentor Laboratory Services team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related scientific discipline
• 6+ years of experience in laboratory operations, project coordination, or clinical research operations
• Strong understanding of next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows
• Experience working in regulated environments (CAP/CLIA, GxP, or equivalent)
• Experience in people management and mentoring
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, LIMS, Salesforce, and JIRA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting oncology or molecular diagnostics programs
• Familiarity with Illumina sequencing workflows and BaseSpace
• Experience handling genomic or clinical datasets
• Basic programming or data analysis experience in R or Python
