About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform quantity surveying for power plant construction projects, including field work to verify quantities installed.
- Support schedule validation through field observations, tracking project progress, and interacting with vendor staff.
- Develop and maintain site-integrated schedules and incorporate implementation details into project baselines.
- Lead change control processes by identifying, assessing, and managing impacts to project scope and schedule.
- Generate periodic project controls communications, including routine analytics, data verification, and presentation-quality reports.
- Implement systems for Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), cost estimates, and cash flow projection tracking.
- Mentor junior Project Controls Specialists and establish effective relationships with project management and sponsor organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in project controls software and methodologies.
- Ability to perform on-site field work and mobilize to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MS Project, MS Office Suite, or schedule analysis software such as Deltek Acumen.
- Subject Matter Expertise in quantity surveying for large, complex construction power projects.
- Experience evaluating vendor change orders and time impacts.
- Knowledge of risk management tools and Monte Carlo analysis.
- Previous experience in on-site field observations and performance tracking via field walkdowns.
