About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and structure all contract management activities at the country level.
- Manage high-criticality project contracts, claims, and risk matters to protect the company's commercial position.
- Drive the preparation of Contract Management Strategy Plans (CMSP) and ensure consistent application of governance.
- Monitor contract obligations, project schedules, and the timely issuance of contractual notices.
- Establish project-specific commercial procedures regarding correspondence, insurance, and variation requests.
- Manage claims and counterclaims, including the preparation of supporting documentation for negotiations.
- Provide creative advice on specific risks and contractual issues to project leadership.
- Train and develop Project Contract Managers and administrators to build organizational capability.
- Support legal teams in litigation processes and prepare files for Dispute Arbitration Boards (DAB).
Requirements
- Degree in Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Contract and Claim Management within infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in leading a team of contract managers.
- Background in construction, manufacturing, or the railway business.
- Professional certification in Contract Management.
- Ability to travel up to 20% to 30% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Wall C software.
- Advanced knowledge of project financials and their impact on profitability.
- Strong ability to interpret complex technical specifications and contractual terms.
