About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor, track progress, and identify critical issues through project scope development, design, and construction phases
- Maintain accurate project information in the agency database throughout the project life cycle
- Follow up on pre-design and design phase issues including permits, railroad facilities, property acquisition, and project funding
- Participate in meetings regarding scope development, design, and construction, including commitment plans and bid openings
- Coordinate preparation of project documents and correspondence
- Notify community boards and elected officials of project status and interact with client agencies
Requirements
- Permanent status in Construction Project Manager title or reachable on Open-Competitive Exam #3042 or #5058
- High school diploma and five years of experience managing construction projects costing at least $300,000 annually; or a baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management plus one year of relevant experience
- Valid New York State motor vehicle driver license
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
