Senior Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of the Indigenous Law and Justice Hub’s work program in alignment with the Director’s vision.
• Establish and refine governance, operational, and financial systems to support scalable Hub operations.
• Provide inclusive leadership for professional staff, fostering a respectful and culturally safe team environment.
• Oversee major programs, events, and initiatives, including student engagement and community partnerships.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous communities and university stakeholders.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications and extensive management experience (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Deep understanding of Indigenous self-determination, cultural safety, and respectful engagement.
• Proven success leading complex programs within large, decentralized organizations.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills for high-level reporting and briefing.
• Experienced people leadership skills, including performance management and team cultivation.
• Prior experience working with Indigenous communities in Victoria.
• Current driver’s license and willingness to travel.
