Senior Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Design and build Amazon's global road safety benchmarking program, defining key metrics and measurement methodologies.
• Develop rigorous frameworks to compare safety performance, such as collision frequency and severity rates, against industry peers and national statistics.
• Identify, acquire, and normalize external data from government databases, industry reports, and academic research.
• Discover and evaluate global industry trends in commercial fleet safety and technology adoption.
• Translate benchmarking insights into prioritized recommendations and present findings to senior global leadership.
• Partner with internal Safety and Operations teams to ensure benchmarking is grounded in operational reality.
• Build relationships with external organizations, including industry associations and government agencies, to validate methodology and access data.

Requirements

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive continuous improvements.
• Proven track record of owning end-to-end program strategy and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Business, Operations, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or Transportation).
• 5+ years of experience in benchmarking, analytics, management consulting, or research.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 15-25%).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree (MBA, MPH, or MS in Data Science/Analytics).
• 10+ years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, fleet safety, or insurance.
• Direct experience with commercial fleet safety data or government transportation safety databases (e.g., FMCSA, NHTSA).
• Knowledge of LEAN methodologies, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving frameworks.
• Experience building benchmarking programs from scratch and driving organizational adoption.
