About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide Systems Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to the Ground-based Midcourse Dense (GMD) Product Office under the Missile Defense Agency.
- Conduct independent technical and programmatic assessments and provide systems engineering analysis and process management.
- Coordinate with program contracting officials on future and ongoing contract activities using FAR and DFARS.
- Develop technical products, including Technical Direction Letters and Technical Instructions, for program activities.
- Advise program leaders on technical risks impacting cost, schedule, and performance.
- Assist with the integration of GMD weapons system component upgrades, sensors, and overall program coordination.
- Provide technical assistance during coordination events with Combatant Commands, U.S. Army, and other Department of Defense components.
Requirements
- Master's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience supporting complex DoW Weapon Systems, OR a Bachelor's degree and 20+ years of relevant experience.
- Active SECRET security clearance (eligibility for TS/SCI required).
- Demonstrated technical or programmatic experience supporting GMD and MDA Ground/Sea-based Sensors.
- Advanced knowledge of FAR part 15 & 16.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, TEAMS).
- Working knowledge of Milestone Professional software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with GMD Ground Systems.
- Experience implementing systems engineering “V” processes.
- Understanding of the MDA organization and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) responsibilities.
