Senior Program Director

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of federally funded export control, sanctions, nonproliferation, and strategic trade projects
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities from U.S. government agencies and foundations
• Lead the drafting and submission of grant proposals, budgets, and fundraising materials
• Manage project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and sponsor communications
• Supervise and mentor project staff, research associates, consultants, and interns
• Conduct and oversee research on export controls, technology protection, and national security topics
• Represent the Center at conferences, meetings, and workshops

Requirements

• Advanced degree in international relations, public policy, political science, law, engineering, or national security studies
• Significant experience in export controls, nonproliferation, sanctions, or technology protection
• Demonstrated experience securing and managing federally funded projects
• Strong proposal writing and fundraising skills
• Excellent project management and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a senior role within the U.S. government or international organizations
• Experience working with the Departments of State, Energy, Commerce, or Defense
• Experience leading large federal grants or cooperative agreements
• Previous international experience engaging with foreign government officials
