About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide programmatic leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight for Student Access initiatives and the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program.
- Collaborate with divisional leadership, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to enhance programs supporting student access, retention, and graduation.
- Lead complex projects from conception through implementation, including developing project plans, timelines, and performance measures.
- Develop and evaluate programs and services specifically designed to support first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented student populations.
- Support the administration of grant-funded initiatives by monitoring deliverables, collecting data, and assisting with annual reports.
- Utilize assessment data and student success metrics to identify areas for improvement and strengthen program impact.
- Coordinate communications, outreach efforts, and represent Student Access on university committees and at institutional events.
- Provide guidance and supervision to student employees, graduate assistants, and volunteers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two years of administrative and programmatic experience.
- Proven experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education or a non-profit organization.
- One year of experience working in a high-visibility executive office overseeing campus-level initiatives.
