About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support to the Aviation Fleet Readiness Center Maintenance Requirements Officer by conducting analyses of aircraft, engine, and support equipment logistics planning.
- Support the Requirements Officer during all phases of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process, including technical writing and review of formal requirements documents.
- Conduct studies and investigative analysis to assess the impact of programmatic changes on system acquisition, support, and sustainment.
- Research, investigate, and evaluate program requirements and objectives in the annual Program Objectives Memorandum (POM) process.
- Interface with NAVAIR Program Offices, OPNAV Resource Sponsors, and various financial and logistics managers to promote well-researched decisions.
- Monitor the Program Budget Information System (PBIS) and assist in budget exhibit preparation and review.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and principal advisor to leadership regarding aviation maintenance programs and policy issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 13 years of aviation maintenance managerial experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of naval aviation, depot maintenance, and Integrated Logistics Support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for developing briefing slides, metric charts, and graphics.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- US citizenship.
- Understanding of Echelon 1 staff functions and their relationship to other echelon commands.
