Senior Production Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own design, delivery, and sustainment of production testers and calibration stations for aircraft, dock, pod, and subassembly builds
• Define tester acceptance criteria including test coverage, pass/fail limits, and GR&R
• Architect and implement electrical and functional testers including harnessing, DAQ, sensors, actuators, and power systems
• Implement test automation and data pipelines using Python or LabVIEW/TestStand
• Drive measurable outcomes such as increased first-pass yield and reduced cycle time
• Troubleshoot and resolve production escalations including PCBA-level electrical failures and tester instability
• Lead cross-functional launches and coordinate validation plans with Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations
• Produce and maintain test documentation, maintenance plans, and validation records

Requirements

• 7+ years building production test systems or automated test equipment for electro-mechanical products
• BS in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering
• Deep practical skills in instrumentation, signal measurement, and PCBA debug
• Strong test automation experience with Python, LabVIEW, or TestStand
• Proficiency with embedded interfaces such as CAN, UART, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and USB
• Experience working directly on manufacturing floors during launches and escalations
• Ability to work onsite at the manufacturing site in South San Francisco
