Senior Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Schedule resources and prioritize activities to ensure efficient production schedule compliance, including product changeovers, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Provide daily direction to production and maintenance employees, team leaders, technicians, and engineers.
• Communicate and report production and process performance metrics to plant operations staff and functional leaders.
• Engage with plant teams to identify and implement process improvements and cost reduction projects.
• Perform performance reviews and develop career and talent development plans for both salaried and hourly employees.
• Ensure production processes operate in compliance with established process control set-points and rigorous change control.
• Develop, implement, and monitor training, qualification, and certification programs for operators and engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
• Frontline supervisory or team leader experience in a plant manufacturing environment.
• Proven capability to hold teams accountable to process control and discipline.
• Experience leading teams and projects to meet continuous improvement or cost reduction goals.
• Understanding of process management systems, process control, and discipline techniques.
• Training and experience in supervisory effectiveness, conflict resolution, and effective listening.
• Knowledge of cost accounting and managing for profitability.
• Training and experience in the fundamentals of safety and health.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a process engineering role with the ability to perform in-depth analysis to solve complex problems.
• Exposure to launching and ramping new products into manufacturing.
• Green Belt certification in Performance Excellence, Lean, and DMAIC methods.
