Senior Production Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee production engineering for TXS-1 gas fermentation plant
• Manage engineers and technicians
• Optimize and debottleneck production processes, including gas fermentation and upstream equipment
• Ensure safe and smooth operation of all plant equipment
• Oversee improvement projects and lead root cause analyses (RCA’s)

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in production and process engineering in a plant setting
• Hands-on experience with industrial reactors (operation, optimization, troubleshooting)
• BS in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, or similar
• Ability to work closely with scientific, process engineering, and automation teams
• Willingness to relocate to the Houston, TX area
• US citizen or work permit required

Preferred Qualifications

• Competence in bioprocessing and gas/liquid mass transfers
• Experience with aseptic operations and gas fermentation
• Knowledge of unit operations like filtration, ion exchange, and distillation
• Experience in plant commissioning, startups, and turn-arounds
• Project management and people management experience
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting hardware
