Senior Production Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end manufacturing process for complex electronic and electromechanical systems, including assembly, integration, routing, and acceptance testing
• Lead industrialization and New Product Introduction (NPI) for new hardware systems, control plans, and production validation processes
• Oversee day-to-day production activities for system assembly and integration to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
• Manage investments in tooling, test equipment, fixtures, workstations, and measurement systems
• Own cost, schedule, and capacity planning, including optimization of takt time and throughput
• Collaborate with design, R&D, and supply chain teams to integrate manufacturing into product development

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in industrialized production of complex, safety-critical hardware systems (electronics, electromechanical, or integrated systems)
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
• Proven ownership of production processes in regulated industries (e.g., automotive, aerospace, defense)
• Strong understanding of electrical/electronic integration, including harnessing, cabling, connectors, and shielding
• Experience with production procedures, work instructions, lean manufacturing, and risk assessment
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex assembly issues
• Proficiency in English; German knowledge is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a process or assembly engineer
• Aerospace experience, preferably with electric vehicle development
• Knowledge of industry standards for harness assembly
• Experience using CAD and programming languages
• Ability to read P&ID and Fluid Drawings
