Senior Production Chemist

Responsibilities

• Handle mammalian cell culture and biological reagent production within a GMP manufacturing setting
• Perform small-scale biological reagent production, including passaging, inoculations, feeds, and harvest filtration
• Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment such as bioreactors, centrifuges, and BSCs
• Maintain accurate manufacturing batch records and documentation in compliance with GDP and ERP systems
• Execute aseptic techniques and follow strict QSR and ISO 13485 compliance standards
• Manage equipment calibration schedules and preventative maintenance logs
• Cross-train production chemists and initiate controlled document changes via the CR/CO process

Requirements

• Technical Diploma (equivalent to 12 years of education)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a production laboratory environment
• Proven bench laboratory experience
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and pipetting
• Knowledge of federal regulations including QSR, ISO, and ISO 13485
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with Mammalian Cell Culture
• Familiarity with cell counters and incubators
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
