Senior Product Test Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems at board, sub-system, and system levels
• Lead and support hardware/software integration and troubleshooting
• Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop robust, scalable test solutions
• Lead design reviews and produce high-standard technical documentation
• Act as a mentor and technical leader for junior engineers

Requirements

• Experience in the design of product Test Development Hardware
• Proficiency in creating wiring schedules and system interface design
• Appreciation of NI LabView and Teststand
• Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation
• Proven experience in the handover and management of designs in production
• Strong hardware troubleshooting and system integration debugging skills
• Eligibility for BPSS Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant industry experience in test development
• Understanding of common test architectures such as PXI/LXI
• Knowledge of Measurement Uncertainty and its application in test equipment design
• Detailed software knowledge of NI LabView, CVI, TestStand, or C#
