Senior Product Software Engineer (Swift)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement feature-rich streaming media playback libraries for Apple devices across Disney's direct-to-consumer brands.
• Collaborate on API design with peer teams and front-end teams that depend on media libraries.
• Conduct research and development for media playback experiences, integration, and testing.
• Specialize in Apple technologies including UIKit, SwiftUI, AVKit, and StoreKit to build world-class applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and errors across various platforms.
• Participate in project estimation, resource planning, and the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in iOS software development.
• 3+ years of professional experience using Swift.
• 5+ years of experience implementing complex user interfaces using UIKit or SwiftUI.
• 3+ years of experience working within Agile processes.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM).
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and continuous integration systems.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to manage the full software lifecycle from early stage to maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with streaming technologies such as HLS, MPEG-DASH, Transport Stream, and CMAF.
• Deep experience with AVFoundation and its ecosystem.
• Experience developing applications across the full Apple ecosystem, including iPhone, iPad, and tvOS.
