Senior Product Safety Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Own the development of the safety case for the Driver Out system
• Define functional safety concepts from safety goals and safety cases according to UL4600 and ISO 26262
• Manage the safety plan and schedule to align with product launches
• Coordinate safety activities with product managers, development teams, suppliers, and customers
• Create and review safety work products including HARA, FSC, TSC, FTA, FMEA, SPFM/LFM, PMHF, and DFA
• Communicate technical/system requirements and safety requirements to stakeholders
• Ensure functional safety confirmation measures such as audits and assessments are completed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a highly technical field
• 7+ years of related work experience
• Strong knowledge of safety frameworks: HARA, FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, and DFA
• Understanding of software and hardware development life cycles and integration processes
• Proven track record of problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a highly technical field
