Senior Product Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with industry quality standards like IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
• Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics for suspension, brakes, and alignment systems
• Lead failure analysis and problem resolution using 8D, DMAIC, and 5-Why methodologies
• Investigate product failures, warranty claims, and customer complaints
• Utilize FMEA and PPAP to assess and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve component quality and resolve non-conformance issues
• Support production teams in resolving manufacturing quality concerns
• Implement Lean Six Sigma principles to optimize processes and reduce defects
• Support durability and performance testing of vehicle systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in product quality or manufacturing engineering within the automotive industry
• Strong understanding of suspension, brake, and alignment systems
• Proficiency in quality tools including FMEA, SPC, 8D, PPAP, APQP, and MSA
• Hands-on experience with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action implementation
• Experience with CAD software and quality management systems
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (10-40%)
• Valid driver's license and passport

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• IATF 16949 Lead Auditor
• Familiarity with statistical tools like Minitab
