Senior Product Manager

About the Company

Prophecy is building the next generation of AI-powered Data Prep and Analytics. Our platform enables business analysts and data teams to transform raw data into reliable, production-ready datasets and insights faster, using modern data infrastructure and AI-driven capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the roadmap for a product area over a 1–3 quarter horizon
• Translate product vision into clear initiatives and priorities
• Develop deep understanding of analyst workflows across data preparation and transformation
• Run continuous discovery through customer interviews and product usage data
• Use AI tools (LLMs, copilots, workflows) as a core part of product development
• Build lightweight prototypes to validate ideas before writing full specifications
• Work closely with engineering and design to deliver high-quality product capabilities
• Define success metrics and track adoption, impact, and effectiveness
• Align engineering, design, sales, and customer success around shared outcomes
• Own the operational health of your product area, including performance monitoring and issue triage

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience in data platforms, analytics, developer tools, or enterprise software
• Strong understanding of data preparation, analytics workflows, and modern data infrastructure
• Experience working closely with engineering teams to deliver technical products
• Hands-on familiarity with AI-powered products or intelligent systems
• Ability to translate complex problems into clear, actionable product specifications
• Experience working with APIs, SDKs, CLIs, or other developer-facing systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating in a high-growth startup environment (Series A–C)
• Familiarity with technologies such as Spark, SQL, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, or orchestration systems
• Experience shipping AI/ML-powered capabilities in data or analytics products
• Deep familiarity with the modern data ecosystem, e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery
• Experience building products for regulated industries like finance or healthcare
