About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the product launch process for the new Pharmaceutical division, managing cross-functional collaboration with Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Sales, and Finance teams.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for new product launches, including positioning, messaging, and promotional campaigns.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative research to uncover actionable insights and address evolving market trends.
- Partner with external agencies to create compelling creative assets and marketing materials.
- Drive budget planning and allocation, managing an annual budget of approximately $5,000,000.
- Engage with local and global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to foster product advocacy in Canada.
- Monitor competitive landscapes to craft differentiated brand propositions.
- Equip the Sales team with training on product science, brand messaging, and competitive positioning.
- Define and track KPIs to measure performance and optimize promotional channels.
- Forecast sales, market share, and supply to ensure operational readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or B.Sc.
- 8-10 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
- At least 3 years of experience in Marketing.
- Solid working knowledge of the Canadian healthcare environment and its evolving landscape.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience using Salesforce and major industry data programs such as IQVIA.
- Ability to travel nationally and to the US (approximately 20%).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree such as an MBA or MSc.
- 2-3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Previous experience in the eye care industry.
- Fluency in French.
- Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
