Senior Product Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for Mercury's API, evolving it from niche usage into a comprehensive platform for customers to build upon.
• Define the strategy for connecting Mercury to the broader ecosystem of AI tools and developer platforms.
• Lead the product vision for AI-powered experiences, enabling users to interact with their finances through questions and agentic actions.
• Partner with engineering to make technical tradeoffs regarding API design, data access, and capabilities.
• Collaborate with growth and partnerships teams to leverage API and AI products as competitive advantages for acquisition and retention.
• Develop a deep understanding of technical customer needs to identify unmet requirements in the current API offering.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience.
• Proven experience building API products and developer tools.
• Experience building and shipping AI-powered products.
• Deep understanding of developer ecosystems and what it means to build for technical users.
• Ability to thrive in a high-velocity environment and turn nascent product areas into coherent strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active interest in the AI space, including personal side projects or experience using tools like MCP.
• Strong technical fluency to hold your own in deep architectural discussions with engineering teams.
