About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and own the driver safety product roadmap and strategy, including vehicle telematics, driver assistance systems, and predictive safety analytics.
- Develop a thorough understanding of safety challenges facing middle mile and last mile drivers, such as fatigue management and incident prevention.
- Write and present compelling business cases for safety technology investments backed by data analysis.
- Partner with Tech, Engineering, Operations, Safety, Compliance, and Legal teams to design customer-centric safety experiences.
- Own end-to-end product development from requirements to launch, ensuring high quality and safety standards.
- Monitor and report on driver safety metrics and KPIs to senior leadership to demonstrate measurable improvements.
- Drive the adoption of safety features across the third-party driver network.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, business, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of product management experience, including close partnership with tech, engineering, and operations teams.
- Experience building and launching complex products involving diverse stakeholders across multiple organizations.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to executives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and manage large, complex projects in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA degree.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, Python, or Advanced Excel.
- Track record of working on safety-critical, regulated, or compliance-driven products in transportation or fleet management.
- Experience with IoT devices, telematics, connected vehicle technology, or mobile applications.
- Understanding of third-party delivery partner models and contractor driver experiences.
