Senior Product Manager

About the Company

The Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) leverages technology to drive opportunity, improve public safety, and help government run better across New York City. The Public Interest Technology (PIT) Crew builds the technology, products, and services needed to deliver a more affordable New York City through exceptional public-facing products.

Responsibilities

• Lead resident-facing products end-to-end, from problem framing through public launch, owning scope and sequencing
• Move quickly through discovery, rapid prototyping, MVP iteration, pilot, and launch
• Plan and run discovery with New Yorkers and agency partners to turn findings into product direction
• Partner with designers, engineers, and user researchers on day-to-day product decisions
• Build and maintain relationships with agency staff, policy advisors, and legal counsel
• Coordinate with the wider OTI team on production launch requirements including security and accessibility
• Define and measure success through clear metrics and product instrumentation
• Drive public launches and rollouts in partnership with communications and executive offices
• Write clear product briefs, decision memos, and post-launch retros
• Help shape product culture through mentorship, hiring, and onboarding

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field
• Six years of experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems (or ten years of experience with a baccalaureate degree)
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
