Senior Product Manager - Business Lending

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Mercury's business lending product suite
• Drive the end-to-end customer journey, including eligibility, application, underwriting, funding, and repayment
• Partner with risk and data science to design underwriting experiences that balance speed with sound credit and compliance controls
• Collaborate with design and engineering to create effortless, transparent, and trustworthy application experiences
• Work with banking partners, legal, and compliance to ensure products are regulatory-compliant and operationally sound
• Define and instrument key metrics such as conversion, approval rates, time-to-funding, and loss performance
• Use customer insight and data to make crisp tradeoffs between scope, risk, and speed

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management or aligned experience
• 2+ years of experience in lending, credit, payments, or another regulated financial domain
• Proven experience building and scaling lending businesses
• Deep understanding of the lending lifecycle: origination, underwriting, servicing, and repayment
• Ability to ship AI-first products and iterate on customer-facing solutions
• Technical fluency and comfort partnering deeply with engineers and data scientists
• Strong customer empathy paired with the rigor to balance growth against compliance and operational realities
