About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of products that enable enterprise platform teams to discover, govern, audit, and manage the cost of AI agents within Jira environments.
- Strengthen platform foundations, including reliable configuration movement across environments and programmatic access for CI/CD operations.
- Extend governance models to treat AI agents as configuration, ensuring agent setup is captured during deployments and can be rolled back independently.
- Build a control plane for AI activity, including a searchable inventory, a policy engine for rule enforcement, and detailed audit trails.
- Own the policy engine that defines what an agent is allowed to do at runtime, working closely with teams building packaged AI skill content.
- Manage partner relationships, specifically with Atlassian's partner program, to gain visibility into AI platform roadmaps and API access.
- Conduct structured customer discovery by interviewing enterprise Jira platform admins and IT leaders to validate and prioritize capabilities.
Requirements
- Several years of experience as a product manager owning complex, technical, enterprise infrastructure or governance products (e.g., IT asset management, identity governance, or configuration management).
- Experience managing products that span multiple different product domains and teams.
- Proven ability to gather requirements from senior technical buyers, such as platform admins, CISOs, and CIOs.
- A track record of shipping phased roadmaps against long-term strategic goals.
- Strong, structured customer discovery skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence, JSM, Forge) or a comparable platform ecosystem.
- Familiarity with AI agent tooling or LLM platform governance.
- Experience building or overseeing a policy or rules engine.
Benefits
