Senior Product Engineer - Electrical

Responsibilities

• Own the technical definition of product solutions, ensuring form, fit, function, and interoperability across mechanical, electrical, and thermal subsystems
• Analyze and document system-level requirements for rack, row, and aisle-based solutions
• Support New Product Development (NPD) activities including concept evaluation, design reviews, and validation
• Act as a technical point of contact for customers, participating in meetings, workshops, and design reviews
• Translate customer specifications and site requirements into compliant, manufacturable product solutions
• Support pre-sales activities by contributing technical input to proposals and quotations
• Ensure product designs comply with applicable mechanical, electrical, and safety standards (ASME, ASHRAE, IEC, UL, ISO, NEC)
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments (FMEA), and root cause analysis
• Partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams to support production issues and continuous improvement

Requirements

• BSME, BSEE, or a related engineering discipline
• 7–15 years of experience in product engineering, systems engineering, or new product development
• Experience in IT infrastructure, data center, or industrial equipment environments
• Demonstrated experience working directly with customers in a technical role
• Experience applying engineering standards and regulatory requirements to commercial products
• Strong understanding of electrical, thermal, and mechanical systems and interfaces
• Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
