About the role
Responsibilities
- Support product lifecycle activities including new product introduction (NPI), product transfer, and manufacturing operations.
- Lead component lifecycle management, ensuring accuracy in Altium Vault and managing obsolescence.
- Develop embedded systems, electrical designs, schematics, and PCB layouts for new and existing products.
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues during production ramp-up and sustaining phases.
- Apply FMEA, DOE, and statistical analysis to optimize product quality and drive cost reduction.
- Manage Engineering Change Requests (CRs) and Notifications (CNs), including updates to BOMs and work instructions.
- Collaborate with suppliers for PCA fabrication and testing methodologies (ICT/FCT).
- Validate prototypes for compliance with regulatory standards, including EMC/EMI and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of embedded systems, circuit theory, and analog/digital electronics.
- Proficiency in Altium Designer or similar PCB design tools.
- Deep understanding of PCBA design and manufacturing processes (ICT/FCT).
- Experience with EMC/EMI design and implementing countermeasures.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA programming (VHDL/Verilog).
- Proficiency in advanced problem-solving techniques (FMEA, 5 Whys, 8D) and statistical tools (DOE).
- Strong understanding of BOM structuring and Engineering Change Management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in FDA-regulated product development or the life sciences/biotech industry.
- Proficiency with LabView, Python, Visual Basic, SAP, or PLM systems.
- Exposure to high-performance computing for data-intensive applications.
